About Us

Who We Are

We at Crimson3DPS are a mother-and-son 3D printing service built on connection, creativity, and a whole lot of imagination.

We believe in the magic of making. That playful spark that happens when you turn an idea into something real. Whether it’s a whimsical creature, a custom cosplay piece, or something for around the house —we’re here to show you that the only limit is your imagination!

Our motto says it best: “The endless possibilities of imagination turned into reality.” That’s not just a tagline—it’s our mission. We create with joy to bring your ideas to life.

Meet the Makers!

Matthew

Matthew started 3D printing in 2018 when he had the idea to turn a cosplay prop into a working robot. Although this project has had some ups and downs over the years, it is what started our passion for 3D printing.

After going to several libraries and a favourite school teacher to print robot pieces, Matthew invested in his first 3D printer. The experience of using public 3D printers had also left Matthew wanting to make this a more accessible service for others.

During COVID-19, Matthew printed hundreds of ear guards for local health care professionals, and decided it was time to begin a printing service. While our printers and projects have changed, we will always be grateful for where it all started: Matthew and his Chou-chan robot project.

Maryke

If you’ve interacted online with Crimson3DPS, you’ve interacted with Maryke (pronounced Ma-rye-kah)!

Maryke got her start in 3D printing when Matthew was trying to balance school and personal projects and needed an extra hand to juggle it all. She was certain this was too technical for her to even attempt, but with much encouragement and reassurance, found that she really enjoyed printing!

Maryke’s interest lies in seeing what is possible to be printed, and deeply enjoys whenever someone asks her “I wonder if you could print…” A keen interest in better colours to compliment our prints has led her to choosing a wider range of filament colours including rainbow, dual colour, polychromatic and now gradient.

Her progress with printing has shown that anyone can learn a new skill, as long as they have the passion and perseverance!
